My first film was a labour of love like no other. It depicts an average day in the life of the 40 women housed in a gracious old Victorian home in the heart of downtown Montreal and gives credence to the idea that hope and laughter, friendships and camaraderie can be found in an institutional setting. Although physical frailties, loss and grief are the constant companions of the elderly, those who reside at Fulford in the old-fashioned, congenial and home-like setting, benefit greatly from activities, companionship, good nutrition and round-the-clock care given by a dedicated team of compassionate, loving staff and volunteers.

Come Home to Fulford makes a simple statement; that a community can and should look after its frail elderly by providing them with an affordable home-like environment where loving kindness and human dignity abound.
